Friendships are like mithril. They wrap around you, light as a feather and yet, with a friend, you are protected, cherished, nurtured and delighted. Friendships are dragon scales improving and strengthening you against everything.
In the week, I was sent this stunningly gorgeous scarf made of silk and wool. Even more beautiful than the scarf is the message from my friend wrapping me in their care and thoughts. She mentioned wrapping me in warmth and love and wishing it was made of mithril to protect me from all. Friendship like that does protect from everything. I am an amazingly lucky woman.
