Clothes can make such a difference. They can change our mood and enhance different aspects of us.

I find it fascinating that as someone who nearly always wears matching bra and knicker sets, I have a fear or maybe a discomfort with other lingerie.

I used to wear it all the time. But over time, it didn’t seem to fit who I was anymore. Looking back, I think that was related to a feedback loop that was broken. But, the truth is, I often feel more vulnerable and more open to judgement in lingerie than when naked. My confidence is fairly bullet proof when naked. Maybe it’s because lingerie is rarely designed for people like me, and is often just not available in my size, but lingerie often makes me feel more aware of how I don’t fit into any acceptable norm.

Except…

When the motivation is right, all of that fades away in an instant. When the motivation is right, I find myself dressing up with confidence and desire. I stop worrying about where the rolls and folds are and, instead, I focus on the moment, the feeling and what it’s for. It makes me feel amazing and, for a moment, drop-to-your-knees awesome, powerful woman.

In this occasion, those feelings totally matched my needs.

On this occasion, I was ready to be adored.

Sinful Sunday

  1. I love how clothes can change our mood. If Iā€™m struggling to get into the mood to write or feel sexy: knee high stockings and cute underwear.

    Love the shot!!
