Quite a while ago, the beautiful @rebelsnotes asked on Twitter if anyone sold a storage bag for doxy massagers. It seemed clear that nobody did. I piped up that I could make one for her if she would like. I have made quite a few storage bags for myself and for another friend.
While out shopping, I found a material that I hoped she would like and then got busy.
I find immense beauty and inner calm when I am making things, especially when they are for others. I normally channel this into baking, but I love craft projects and I got pure pleasure out of using my old, hand-cranked Singer machine to make this for Rebel.
The postie has delivered it to her and I got another rush of delight knowing that she likes it.
I love it! It’s perfect for my Doxy, allowing space for the cord and plug attached to it. And, the material? I love the design on it. The skulls are perfect!
But I think what I love most of all is the fact that you were so kind to make this for me. Thank you so much again for that!

PS: I will make a photo of it, with the Doxy and post online sometime soon 🙂
I look forward to seeing the photo. 😀
What a lovely thing to do 🙂

I can’t wait to see this… sounds perfect. Our Doxy is currently laying on the floor next to the bed gathering a bit too much dust 😉

Oh no! Not a dusty Doxy! Tut tut! 😉
That is really cool. There is nothing quite like making something or even better getting something that was hand made.
Thank you.
I love getting things that are made from the heart
🙂
That is so sweet! Also, love your sewing machine!
Thank you. I love my machine. I am really into mechanical devices that work beautifully.
That is a beautiful Singer that you have there!
I love that you have made Marie a love case for her Doxy (I want a Doxy – got to save up!!).
My mother is a brilliant seamstress (taught by her mother) me not so, even buttons fall off when I’ve tried to sew them on!!! :-

I love that fabric and am jealous of your prowess worth that beautiful sewing machine. I can sew quite well by hand, but my last use of a sewing machine was over 15 years ago so I don’t even remember how to set one up for use.
That fabric looks amazing – and what a kind thing to do! I am a rubbish sewer, so am always in awe of those who can use a sewing machine or needle and thread! Jane xxx
Love the old-style sewing machine. My mother had on- I swear I have never know a modern one that could sew as well.
That’s very clever! I use a wine (bottle) box for my Hitachi, but I like this much better 🙂

I get the same relaxed feeling when pursuing my creative hobby. 🙂
I love making things for others as well. That’s a gorgeous machine by the way, mine doesn’t look nearly so nice!

That is the most gorgeous sewing machine, I wish I was creative enough to have a hobby like that. I can’t wait to see the result 🙂
What a beautiful series of images! They show your love of the craft.
A very beautiful machine. I remember my grandmothers – the sound, watching her use it. And what a wonderful gift to have and sharing it. Those are the best gifts to get when it’s made with love.
Drop a line to the Doxy people; I’m sure they’ll love this! 😉
Looks lovely gift. Our Doxy gathers wayyyy to much dust!
