I hate that moment when you read a tweet, hear a voice on the radio, catch the announcement on the news and suddenly things stop. Someone you don’t know but has intrinsically been woven through your experience has died. It feels as though someone wrenches a part of your heart and your history away, squashing it and totally disconnecting it from both your present and future.
On 28th December, I was heartbroken to read of the very sudden death of Lemmy. His music has been part of my life from my first flourish of development of self as a teen to now.
These images are a tribute to the amazing force of nature and man that was Lemmy. We could learn a lot from him about grabbing hold of the life we have and truly living it.
I raise my glass in a toast to you, Lemmy and all that you brought to my life.
I think Lemmy would approve of my toasting him whilst sat in a hotel room as he was known for his love of them.
