I chuckled when I saw this week’s Wicked Wednesday prompt. Weird is such a wonderful word and it is a description that I learnt to own with delight many years ago.
I am weird. I have always been someone with hidden depths or, should I say, hidden delights and desires.
One of the aspects of me that used to provoke a “you are weird” reaction was how excited I get about building things, taking things apart, finding out how things work and, of course, fixing things. At work, people would trade about the fact that there was a toolkit in my locker, and often a set of bike tools in my handbag. Each of them stopped teasing when I was their first port of call when they needed something fixing.
Luckily now, I have a man who embraces my weirdness. He sends me clips of wonderful mechanisms, indulges my excitement at engines and even gives me gifts of tools. To him, my passion and excitement as I indulge this delight is one of the things that makes me beautifully, sexily, passionately me.
That reminds me, I need to get cycles out of the shed and give them a damn good going over ready for some riding.

I love that you are a tinkerer! There’s something so satisfying about being able to fix, isn’t there?
I just love this about you, that you take things apart and put them together and that you love technical things 🙂
Rebel xox
that is great. I am glad you found someone that embraces you as you are.
