I had a surprise this morning. The lovely Marie from RebelsNotes has nominated me for a Liebster Award. I have to say that I never expected any award related to blogging so I was thrilled to be chosen.

There are rules to the award.

2, Answer the questions provided by the person who nominated you.
3, Provide eleven random facts about yourself.
4, Nominate 5-11 blogs that you feel deserve the award and have less than one thousand followers.
5, Create a new list of questions for the bloggers to answer.

So, first of all. Here are the answers to Marie’s questions.

Why did you start blogging?

I started blogging as a development from sharing pictures on a different site. I really didn’t expect to get many people visiting my blog but it was an answer to my compulsion to be an exhibitionist.

How did you choose your pseudonym?

When I decided to take the plunge and start my blog, I needed a name. I already used the name Honey but I wanted something new. I was talking to my man and used the phrase, ‘happy go lucky’. I then added that in my case, happy come lucky was more appropriate as I can orgasm in many different ways. That was that. I rolled the name around my mouth to make sure that I enjoyed it and HappyComeLucky was created.

Talk to me about your photos. Do you make your own? Post them? Do you show your face? Why or why not?

I take my own pictures. That was the original reason for the blog. I take pictures that range from sensual to silly, cheeky to serious, and safe to challenging. The writing side of my blog has been much slower to develop and that is mainly due to weird confidence issues. My photos are important to me. They engage my creativity and make me see and accept pleasing aspects of myself. My face is not fully visible in my pictures. That is due to the demands of my profession and rules written into my contract. I don’t know whether I would show my face if that were not the case.

Do you write erotic stories? If so, have you ever been published or do you want to be?

The quick answer to this question is ‘no’. I do not have the skills needed to write erotic stories. I am in awe of the talent of people who do it well and I adore reading them. My ‘no’ isn’t completely true. There are three posts on this blog that are erotic fiction. One of them is a tiny snippet based on the experience of a very sexy experience. The other two are stories that I wrote in response to Exhibit A’s Sinful Stories competition. I still have no idea how but ‘If you go down to the woods today…‘ came third. I guess I peaked early in what I can achieve in erotic fiction. I like the idea of being published but unless I am struck by lightning which miraculously leaves me with new skills, it isn’t going to be for my fiction.

What is the ultimate goal of your blog?

Erm… I don’t know. My blog is a work in progress. It is evolving. I am slowly beginning to accept that I am a blogger. I am blown away that people do visit and both enjoy the photos and read my words. I get a real buzz when someone says that my work resonates with them. I guess the goal of my blog is to keep on evolving and to be a place where I can keep sharing me.
What memes do you participate in?

I always participate in the wonderful Sinful Sunday meme. Everything about that meme is perfect for me. There is the discipline of the time scales, the positivity of the community and the perfect chance to indulge my passion for photos. Add on to that, the challenge of the prompts (even though I do panic as each one is announced) and it is a huge driver of my creativity for this blog.

I also occasionally participate in Wicked Wednesday. I love that meme and the options of following the prompt or posting something else. I often want to join in with it more, but challenges of managing my time, inspiration and confidence that anything I have to say is worth sharing often conspire against me.

I have also written two posts for Kink of the Week. This is a meme that I love reading other people’s take on different kinks and one that I will be trying to contribute to more in the future.

Do you have any suggestions for prompts for Wicked Wednesday?

Hmmm… I am sure that they have been done, but I like prompts around different emotions both the light and dark ones. I also think that using a short phrase like, “Make me.” is also good. I might need to think more about this question.

What is your life’s motto?

I have more than one. I guess that isn’t completely surprising as there are many different facets to me and different mottos work for different aspects of me.

My first motto is very important to me when making decisions that impact on others, especially my children. That is, ‘Do least harm’.

The other one is a bit more personal. It is, ‘Live life as if you aren’t scared’.

What kind of an -aholic are you?

Tricky question. In some ways, I think I could have lots things in this category but I keep close control of my indulgences so that they stay as treats. I am, however, absolutely a sensationaholic and a complete junkie for orgasms. Those are things that I crave and get desperate for if I have to go without.

When would you really stop blogging?

I will only stop blogging when it becomes a negative rather than a positive in my life. I can’t imagine that happening at present but life is unpredictable.

Will I see you at Eroticon?

Yes! I am so excited that I am going this year. I can’t wait!

Now for eleven random facts about myself.

1, I am short. A tiny bit over five foot. Most of the world looks down on me.
2, I have sung on stage at The Royal Festival Halls in London. This is an absolutely ridiculous but true fact when you consider that I don’t sing and I am tone deaf.
3, One of my favourite ever experiences was a stone carving workshop. I am so proud of my carving and I would love to do it again.
4, My tattoo seals a pact with myself to never self-harm again. It is based on Celtic symbols of protection.
5, I love almost all types of cheese but hate goat’s cheese. Yuck! Foul stuff!
6, I haven’t travelled very much abroad. Life hasn’t worked out that way so far. There are places that I want to go and maybe the future will bring opportunities.
7, I am a survivor of abuse. I will take on the world to protect others from harm and to make their lives better.
8, I like drawing and have plans to do more in the future.
9, I adore finding out how things work. Beautiful mechanical devices are fascinating and so very sexy.
10, I don’t like feet, especially toes. I tend to even hide my own. The exception to this is my man. My adoration of him extends right to the tips of his toes.
11, I dream of owning and restoring an original Mini. I want the tools, the manuals and the space to lovingly restore every part.
