This week’s image is inspired by an idea I overheard on Twitter regarding lingerie, a beautifully crafted piece of erotica written by @MalinMJames and some further thoughts that I have been having about orgasms.
Orgasms have power and take control. They are so deeply primal and raw that they strip me bare of my layers of persona and reveal my carnal, lust-filled soul. I can come with control and preserve my defences, or I can totally let go, allow all sense to be torn from me and become the orgasm through every fibre of my being. The power of that brings fears too. I lose for that time, the ability to think rationally and words are not for communication. The orgasm overwhelms my senses and responses taking choice away from me. I could never strip my defences and be so completely vulnerable unless there is trust and I know I am safe to give in to the lust.
If you haven’t read Malin’s piece, ‘Coming Pretty’, you must. It inspired me to craft today’s pictures. The words in the images are taken from that piece.
