Back in January, I posted A Glimpse. I love the picture in many ways, but there were also parts of the composition that weren’t quite right – not that there is much you can do about the choice of furnishings in a hotel.

This weekend, I wasn’t going to post a Sinful Sunday. I tweeted that I didn’t have the emotional reserves to do it. Then something wonderful happened. The brilliant Haiku offered to reshoot an image of my choice so that I wouldn’t miss a week. As she said, having friends to lean on in tough times is what friends are for.

Haiku lifted my mood and in the moment of that offer, changed the situation from desolation to anticipation and excitement.

I am honoured to share with you this wonderful glimpse of Haiku.

Isn’t she wonderful?

Sinful Sunday

  1. On the contrary, the opportunity to be on your blog was a real treat for me! But I do hope it’s a reminder that you can ask for and accept help during hard times, you are naturally generous in offering it to others, time to lean on them a little maybe.. Xxx

    1. Helping is what I do without even thinking. I am getting better at accepting help. Asking is still a work in progress.

  2. This is absolutely wonderful, not just for the the stunning image of Haiku but because of the story of friendship and collaboration and you have given me an cool idea for a future sinful Sunday prompt.

  3. Haiku has, as the kids might say, a bangin’ bod. Wow. What lovely muscles and curves! I really like the collaborative spirit behind this photo – it’s a testament to the fact that a small offer of kindness can make a big difference.

  4. Friends are such wonderful things aren’t they. Sometimes it’s the big things, sometimes it’s the little things like a sunrise on a dull morning…thank you 🙂

I have amazing people in my life but will I actually ask for help when I need it the most…nope still don’t know how to do that!
