I’m not going to see my man over the days of Christmas. It’s hard because he is the person that I most want to share experiences with. Last night, I got an extra treat. He came down to spend the evening with me. As soon as I knew he was going to come, I went from feeling flat to bouncing with delight.

One of the wonderful things about the surprise visit was that I could give him his present. I was excited. I love giving presents and I couldn’t wait to see if he liked it. He did. That put a grin on my face.

Next he gave me mine. A beautifully wrapped box. On peeling back the paper, I saw the hint of the box. Honestly all of those cliches about eyes widening etc were absolutely true. I opened the box and there was the most gorgeous present. One that I wouldn’t have dared to hope for.

The thoughtfulness that my man put into my present just wrapped me up completely in a wonderful blanket of love. That man knows me so well and has bought something that will give me pleasure every day, that I can use in plain sight of others and has a little lid for me to lift (I can’t walk past a display in a shop without lifting the lids).

I am truly lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life.

Here is my present from him.

  1. awwww, how wonderfully sweet and beautiful. I have to ask, what kind of tea are you drinking? I hope its tea and not coffee and I’m making a fool of myself for not knowing the difference. But it looks like the Irish English Breakfast tea I am currently enjoying with a little milk. 🙂
